Hi Mihai, I am not sure what "use a google account to generate a fake password" is, is this a feature in android? Is this bug about using that feature to autofill a sign-in form?

Hello!
On an Android device, you have to enable the autofill with Google feature or use Google as the option for autofill (depending on the Android version).
You also have to have the Google Gboard in order for the autofill pop-up to show up.
When the autofill occurs, the login button text is changed with the password.

Mihai, thank you for the explanation! Then I guess this is not an issue caused by our password manager.

Can QA please test if this is reproducible in GeckoView Example and Reference Browser?

Hi, I was able to reproduce this issue on the latest Firefox for Android versions (Nightly 120.0a1, Beta 119.0b9, Release 118.2.0), GVE and Reference Browser.
Tested with Samsung Galaxy A53 5G (Android 13).

Thanks Delia! Based on comment 7, this looks like a GeckoView bug then.
