In Bug 1703499 comment 0 we collapsed the big regression & improvements table, such that they don't present more than 20 & 6 alerts respectively. The hidden alerts are replaced with triple dots.
For start, we should use the same limits for our alerts summaries in Alerts view. And instead of textual triple dots, use toggles. When clicked, these toggles should from triple dots to a chevron pointing upwards & should unfold the hidden alerts.
Of course, when the chevron is clicked, the toggle should turn into triple dots & hide the respective alerts.
Regarding the interaction with server side search, I'm not sure how that should be. I strongly suggest a team discussion prior to tackling this task, so we know we're all on the same page.
