User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021005 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021005 I remember the first time I tried "print preview" in MS Word. The preview actually replaced the contents of my document. How confusing is that? How does this make any sense at all? Where did my document go? To this day this behavior still disorients me. Now mozilla is copying this behavior. Why should print preview remove my page and replace it with it's results? Why should this command be any different from the page setup command, or the view>history or >page info command? This behavior is so strange, you even have to implement a button that says "close" so that users will kind of know what to do, although even that is a leap of faith. Why would close be the command to use to get back to the web page I was just at? Moreover, the print preview window is completely different from a standard browser window. There is no indication that this window is actually the window you were just browsing with in disguise, and that hitting "close" won't just discard this window along with your browser window which is already gone... which must be a bug.... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.browse somewhere 2.hit print preview Actual Results: My web page is gone! Hey, where'd it go? Now all I have is this page with a print preview in it and some weird toolbar that looks nothing like it used to be my web page. Expected Results: A page opens in front of my web page, and it contains the print preview I just requested. Just like a normal dialogue or or other page info command. Okay, I'll just fiddle with my settings and print, then close it to get back to my original web page. Please don't blindly follow Microsoft's UI blunders in this. Please.
This wasn't too hard to find. pi *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 133787 ***
