[Affected Platforms]:
- Windows 10
- Linux Mint 20
- macOS 11.5.1
[Prerequisites]:
- Have Firefox Release open.
- Have Bing as the default search engine.
- Be in a region where Bing displays ads (e.g. IT).
[Steps to reproduce]:
- Write “hotels” in the awesomebar and press the Enter key.
- Click one of the ads displayed on the search page.
- Go to “about:telemetry#keyed-scalars-tab”.
- Search for “browser.search.with_ads” and observe the number displayed for “bing:sap”.
[Expected result]:
- The number has increased by 1 - the number of searches.
[Actual result]:
- The number has increased by 2 - the number of searches and clicks on ads.
[Notes]:
- The issue is also reproducible for “bing:organic”
- The issue seems intermittent.
- The issue does not seem reproducible for Google.
- Attached is a recording of the issue.

Based on bug 1727899 and this being P3, I assume it doesn't need to be S2, but please correct as needed.

S3 is fine, it might even be an S4, but lets keep it on S3 for now.
