User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0

Steps to reproduce:

Drag a link from one Firefox window to another

Actual results:

The browser locks up until the window system finally gets fed up and offers to force-quit it.

Expected results:

The destination window should navigate to the dragged link.

My workflow involves doing this dozens of times per day, and it almost always works. I know of no way to reliably reproduce the lockup.

Several releases have demonstrated this problem, but it seems to have gotten worse. Environment is Fedora 34/GNOME.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Interesting, I didn't know about this functionality.

Can you please try to get a backtrace of the frozen Firefox process? How-to is here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Debugging_guidelines_for_Mozilla_products#Application_freeze
Thanks.

Please install firefox debuginfo packages and use this steps to attach gdb to the frozen Firefox.

Thanks.

Will do. Of course, the problem hasn't happened since I filed the bug and probably won't until I have something
urgent to do; I'll try to be prepared for the moment.

Thanks.

Yeah, that's obvious :)

Finally got it to hang again (in the middle of an urgent task, naturally). I got the trace, but hadn't been able to install the debuginfo package, so it may be of limited use. I'll ensure I'm better prepared for the next time, sorry. Anyway, I'll attach what I have...
