This patch adds four reftests that assert how highlight pseudos interact with custom properties and/or the concept of “inherited properties”, reflecting recent consensus in w3c/csswg-drafts#6264 and w3c/csswg-drafts#6386 (question 7):

  • highlight-cascade-001: unset is treated like inherit regardless of whether property is inherited
  • highlight-cascade-002: custom properties are inherited regardless of inherits flag or inheritedness of referencing property
  • highlight-styling-001: custom properties are applicable properties in highlight pseudos
  • highlight-styling-002: originating custom property values do not affect highlight pseudos
