User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:92.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/92.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start any embedded audio or video, e. g. YouTube
  2. a) change the volume
    b) pause then continue
    c) navigate on the timeline

Actual results:

Every time, Firefox erases my global system volume setting, and changes it to a much louder value, even if was muted. This loud value can be vary. Sometimes so loud, that it's painful.

Expected results:

  1. Please keep the original overall loudness.
  2. Please, don't change my global settings.

Hi Dávid, thanks for the report. However, I am not able to reproduce this. Would you mind navigating to your about:support page and click copy raw data to clipboard then paste its data to a file and upload it here ? Do you have a screen recorder to record what the situation is?

I attached the json. I've experienced this anomaly with multiple recent firefox versions (including 8x and 9x). I am on debian 9.

I will make a recording soon too.

Thanks for the recording! I will try to reproduce it. I am changing severity to S4 for now. Set a NI as reminder.
