User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0
Steps to reproduce:
1.Go to https://news.ycombinator.com/
2. Open one of the news in a new tab, in ycombinator that link turns grey.
3. Bookmark the link that you opened.
4. Delete browsing data, close firefox mobile.
Actual results:
Open firefox, go to https://news.ycombinator.com/ and the link that you bookmarked is already grey.
Expected results:
The link that you bookmarked should have stayed black in https://news.ycombinator.com/ after you deleted the browsing data and restarted firefox mobile.

The site itself can't see whether the link is greyed -- that's only visible to you. The site is not allowed to know that Fenix thinks you've visited the site.
You've bookmarked the site, and that isn't usually cleared when you clear "browser data". I'm mystified why that would show as a visited link still though so there may be a local privacy bug. Please let us know if you did explicitly clear bookmarks -- that would change things.
I tried two cases:
A
- Opened ycombinator and bookmarked a site.
- Deleted browsing data and closed fenix(delete browsing data on quit).
- Opened fenix and deleted the bookmark
- Opened ycombinator and the site appeared as visited.
B
- Opened ycombinator and bookmarked a site.
- Deleted browsing data and closed fenix(delete browsing data on quit).
- Opened fenix, deleted the bookmark and finally deleted browsing data.
- Opened ycombinator and the site appeared as not visited.
I'd like to know if someone else reproduced this behavior.

I can reproduce it: when there's a bookmark for a link it shows as "visited" even if browsing history has been cleared. I guess that's a choice? It's not the way any other browser I know behaves, and in particular not how Firefox Desktop behaves so it's a surprise to me and feels "wrong". On the other hand the sort of person who always clears their browsing history at shutdown might find this useful.
Kevin: is this intentional behavior? Hard to believe it could magically happen by accident.

This is not intentional. The bug should move to Github, https://github.com/mozilla-mobile/fenix/issues
