Details
Reftests use pretty large canvases, and for a lot of tests those aren't really necessary.
It'd be neat if we did some kind of "smart clipping", where we checked for the smallest rect that contained all the non-#fff pixels for both comparison sites, and pick the larger one, then crop both images to that size. That'd make it a lot easier to analyze reftest failures.
