Steps to reproduce:
In Certificate Manager, once a certificate has been imported, it is worth to ensure that it is present with the trust roles it was granted at the time of its importation. Here are the prerequisites of an optional use-case for the evaluation of the time required to ensure the presence of such certificate:
- presence in your file resources of the DoD root certificate "DoD PKI PKCS#7 CA" from https://dl.dod.cyber.mil/wp-content/uploads/pki-pke/zip/unclass-certificates_pkcs7_v5-6_dod.zip extracted.
- its certificate bundle Certificates_PKCS7_v5.6_DoD.der.p7b imported with trust roles assigned.
Actual results:
It took me nearly fifty seconds to determinate the localization of the certificate named ”DoD Root CA 2”, which belongs to the organization named "U.S. Government”; to be seen: Firefox_93_Certificate_manager.png.
Expected results:
About eight seconds would be a reasonable time to spend for a such task.
Suggestions in this regard; at the left side of "OK", the presence of:
- a search tool | Both organization and certificate names would be covered.
- an option to expand/collapse all organizations 'certificates.
As it is, "expand/collapse all" can be interpreted as a minimalist two-state selector; see two-state_selector.png. To be fully accurate that is a two-state selector including a neutral state, "expand all/<neutral_state>/collapse all" i had had in mind. Releasing the bullet while being in states "expand all" and "collapse all", respectively in left-sided and right-sided positions, would bring it back to its neutral state which is matches the central position. I did not find from my searches a such element to exhibit here as model.
