[Affected Platforms]:

  • Windows 10 x64
  • macOS 11.6

[Prerequisites]:

  • Have the Firefox browser installed and opened.
  • Have the “reader.pocket.ctaVersion” pref set to ”cta-and-recs”/”cta-only” value.

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Navigate to any page that supports Reader View mode.
  2. Click the "Reader View" button from the right part of the Address Bar.
  3. Scroll down the page until the CTA module is visible.
  4. Click the "Listen" button from the Reader view sidebar.
  5. Click the "Play" button from the panel.
  6. Observe if the CTA module is read by the narrator.

[Expected result]:

  • The CTA module is recognized by the narrator.

[Actual result]:

  • The CTA module is not read.

[Notes]:

  • According to the PRD document, the Firefox should read the CTA module if it is not closed or minimized.

Have consulted with Product on this and we don't feel it's necessary for the experiment.
