https://treeherder.mozilla.org/revision.txt id provide machine-readable information which revision was currently deployed. It has been replaced with https://treeherder.mozilla.org/__version__ and whatsdeployed.io got updated after the migration from Heroku to GCP.

revision.txt and its references can be dropped. It doesn't provide the information anymore and shows the static info text also in production.
