User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:94.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/94.0
Firefox for Android
Steps to reproduce:
On website kraken.com as well as sporadically on Twitter and Reddit the tab would crash, but only when flag media.ffmpeg.vaapi.enabled
was set to true
Actual results:
with the flag set to true the tab crashed (crash report https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/f3c4d38a-ceda-49eb-a409-dede90211104)
with the flag set to false, the tab did not crash
Expected results:
the tab should not have crashed.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

I can reproduce this on any video page from https://vod.tvp.pl/website/kosmoloty,47941852/video (safe for work), but only on Iris Xe GPU (11th gen Intel CPU). It's not crashing on an old Ivy Bridge with Intel HD 4000 GPU or a slightly newer Haswell, either.

Which one? Link please.
Linux 5.15.8 included the patch mentioned in this thread that solved my issue https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/intel/-/issues/4145
