Steps to reproduce:

I watch videos on youtube or I watch some kind of streaming (for example tv streaming).

Actual results:

It happens that my MacBook air 2020 intel i5 (with macOS Monterey 12.0.1) heats up a lot and the fan starts spinning faster than usual.

Expected results:

I expect to not get fan noise at all, like with previous updates from firefox. I don't get this problem with safari, I watched videos for hours and tv streaming, nothing happened. with firefox 94.0.1 when I press play, I got fans spinning (maximum) in about 20 seconds.

When the issue is taking place, if you open Activity Monitor do you see WindowServer using a lot of CPU?

I took a screenshot, in the red square I was watching video in full screen and fan was spinning around 5000/8000 rpm, so i could hear them, before they didn't even start spinning, I didn't watch a lot a video (on youtube) because the noise was annoying me.

Thanks for that. The high WindowServer usage there sounds like this is bug 1738926. I'm going to dupe this so we can track further work in that bug. If the issue doesn't resolve after that bug is addressed, we can reopen this bug to track further work.
