Tested on:

• MacOS 10.15

Prerequisites:

• browser.search.region DE
• extensions.formautofill.supportedCountries DE
• download latest Firefox Nightly with region locale (switch extensions.formautofill.available to "on" for testing non-Nightly builds)

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Launch Firefox
2. Go to and reach the payment form for thomann.de
3. Click on the Credit Card number field and choose any saved CC entry

Expected Results:
All the auto-filled fields should be highlighted with the autofill-specific yellow color.

Actual Results:
The autofilled fields are not highlighted with the autofill specific yellow highlight color

Notes:

• Reproducible on Chrome?: No
• Regression-range: not a regression, leftover from Bug 1688209
• The expiration dates dropdowns not being autofiled is Bug 1740521

This might be both a holdover from Bug 1688209 and a regression from Bug 1687682. The website is using the background: transparent styling on their .field elements. This overwrites the background-image styling we use for input:autofill selector.

Reverified this using Firefox Nightly 139.0a1 (2025-04-02), on Windows 11, and the issue is no longer reproducible. All autofilled fields are highlighted in yellow (during autofilled preview as well).
However, I've noticed a strange behavior during preview when hovering over the first or last saved entry: the fields are highlighted in yellow, but they remain empty during preview, until hovering over the next entry. This is not reproducing in Chrome.
Also, the autofill preview overlaps the fields label - this is reproducing in Chrome.
Please let us know if we should file a new bug for this. Thanks!

Verified - Fixed in Nightly 140.0a1 (2025-05-08), all the fields are autofilled and highlighted accordingly. However, the issue described in comment 3 is still reproducible, I will file a new bug for it.
