VERIFIED DUPLICATE of bug 1621570

People

(Reporter: FredSmithfield777, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:94.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/94.0

Steps to reproduce:

about:config
The following key is no longer available:
browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll
So I am no longer able to select disable.

Windows 10 Pro, Version 21H1, OS build 19043.1348

Actual results:

If I click in urlbar, it selects all which is NOT what I want to happen.

Expected results:

If browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll was only available like it was in previous versions I could set it to disable.
Then when I click in the urlbar, a cursor would appear where I clicked.
I often edit a search string to make changes during searching.
Having a click select all is annoying since I only want to correct or erase a word - not the entire string. This is very annoying since browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll previously was available. It is so annoying that I changed my default browser to Chrome.
