User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:94.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/94.0
Steps to reproduce:
After firefox auto updated to 94.0.2 I noticed my CPU fan running flat out. I do have lots of tabs open. I reduced the number of tabs open by more than half but firefox still seems to be using a lot of memory and the CPU fan is running flat out.
Actual results:
A lot of memory is being used, more than in previous versions, I restarted my laptop and reduced the number of tabs even more and then restarted again
Expected results:
I would have expected the resource usage to drop but it still seems too high

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Performance' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please correct in case you think the bot is wrong.
