Steps to reproduce
- Start any lengthier download, e.g: : download ubuntu
- Download is started, download panel is displayed and piechart progress bar is showing progress.
- Before the download is completed, click on the ongoing download.
Expected result
- The elapsed time is replaced with
Opening in <time left>
.
Actual result
- The text containing the remaining time until a downloaded file will be opened flickers -
Opening in <time left>
.
Regression range
- Reproduced also on 95.0a1 2021-10-28 so not a regression
Additional notes
- Not reproducible on Win 10 64-bit.
- Not reproducible for normal download

The fact that this only happens on macOS is... smelly. Markus, I don't suppose you have any idea off-hand what is causing the flicker here? It's a little tricky to debug on the frontend side, but given it's platform-specific I'm pretty suspicious it's a platform issue at heart.

I agree it's probably a platform issue. Let's move it to Web Painting.
