How is this a bug in Firefox code and not in Netflix' detection of browsers?

This is probably impossible to diagnose as-is.
Without better steps to reproduce, it could be a zillion of things, not much we can do here. Looking for the error code

It means that the version of Mozilla Firefox you're using on your computer is no longer supported. Follow these steps to fix the problem.
I wonder if it's because of "Windows NT 6.1".
Firefox 95 will be released very soon 2021-12-07, but if it's because of Windows version, that would not solve the issue.
Let's check on Bugzilla. Ah maybe a glitch of Netflix. See Bug 1743954
