User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0

Steps to reproduce:

My firefox browser has the official Containers extension installed, and out of nowhere whenever I open youtube the extension kicks in and asks me if I'd like to open it on it's assigned container (which is none mind you). I click "no" and tick the "remember my decision" box, but this

Actual results:

I click "no" and tick the "remember my decision" box, but this does nothing and it keeps asking if I'd like to open it on it's assigned container. If I click "yes" then it stops asking but it defaults to a random container which was never assigned to in the first place

Expected results:

It shouldn't have asked if I'd like to open it on it's assigned container since the youtube website was never assigned to any container to begin with, let alone keep asking after I already said no and ticked the box to remember my decision.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'WebExtensions::Untriaged' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Hello,

I tried to reproduce the issue you are having on the latest Nightly (97.0a1/20211208214306), Beta (96.0b2/20211207185904) and Release (95.0/20211129150630) under Windows 10 x64 and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, however I did not manage to stumble upon the main issue you are having i.e. accessing YT will make the extension activate and ask if I want to open it in its assigned container.

However, if I do assign a container for YT to always open in, next time I access the site, I get a page (see attachment) offering me 2 options – open in “Container” and open in the custom assigned container (I named it “YT TEST CONTAINER“).
If I check the “Remember my decision for this site” box and click on “Open in Container”, next time I access YT, the page in the attachment opens again i.e. the add-on seems to not save my choice.
If I check the “Remember my decision for this site” box but click on “Open in YT TEST CONTAINER”, next time I access YT, the page no longer opens i.e. the add-on saved my choice. Each subsequent access of YT will directly open in the assigned container from this point on.

After I remove the container assignment, I’m no longer prompted to choose anything when accessing YT and it opens directly.

I was using the latest available “Firefox Multi-Account Containers” (Version 8.0.2) for testing.

I'm going to mark the issue as NEW due to the user choice not being saved when checking the “Remember my decision for this site” box
