  • Press Picture-In-Picture

The Picture-in-picture Window becomes hidden by the window you clicked on

Expected results:

The Picture-in-Picture window should stay on top/visible when you click on another window

Product: Firefox → Toolkit
Component: Video/Audio Controls → Picture-in-Picture

Wayland doesn't allow us to do that (by design, IIUC), you need to right-click on the window and keep it always-on-top. See bug 1536747.

In fact there's some ongoing work in https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/wayland/wayland-protocols/-/merge_requests/132 / bug 1621261 now - a dedicated protocol, similar to what other OSs have today for PiP.
