This might be related to bug 1748644 albeit it happens on macOS instead of Linux.

STR:

  1. Open https://mikatahara.github.io/MidiMonitor/ in a tab
  2. Check the "Remember this decision" checkbox and then click allow in the permission dialog
  3. Press a few keys on your device
  4. Reload the page
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the events are not delivered anymore. In my testing this usually happens after 2 or 3 iterations

When this happens it appears that we're failing here.

I've re-checked this and it still happens after bug 1748647 and bug 1748644 so it's a separate problem.

I just tested this and it doesn't happen anymore, it was likely fixed by bug 1748647.
