Steps to reproduce:
Click the search box drop-down arrow
Actual results:
In the search box drop down, "This time search with" Google Images has gone. I now have to search with Google then select 'Images' on that page. I have not found an add-on that will show in the drop-down except Bugzilla@Mozilla
Expected results:
Google Images used to show as a red 'G' icon in the drop-down

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Search' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

In a default state, there is no Google Search by Image search engine. Did this ever worked on your side? Do you remember on what Firefox version and the method that you used to install the search engine? Was it through an add-on? If yes, please navigate to about:addons, check the Extensions section and see if it’s still supported.

In the "See also: Bug 78785", 9 years ago somone gave a link to the official Firefox image search, but the link doesn't work today. I have no trouble using any of the image searchers available, it's just that I used to have one with a red G icon displayed in the dropdown list by the search box. I installed it from the list of available addons. The icon has now gone, and so I have installed an add-on which has a grey G on its description but is not on the dropdown list. To work it I have to right-click on an image.
I would like to be able to write something in the search box to search for an appropriate image, but I can't do that now.
I'm sorry for your inconvenience, but as far I see, the add-on you're referring to is not available anymore, probably because the developer no longer maintained it.
The request for using Google Search by Image is already made in Bug 787875 and I'm marking it as a duplicate.
