User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:96.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/96.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Create a html file locally containing an iframe (in my case I have an iframe leading to a steam game).
- Open the html file with firefox.
- Add another iframe (in my case to a youtube video).
- Open the html file with firefox.
Actual results:
First iframe appeared twice.
Expected results:
Both iframes should appear (as it does with Chrome).

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::DOM: Core & HTML' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Do you mean you open the same file in two different tabs, like steps 2 and 4 hint?
The file is just modified to contain another iframe?

The file is just modified to contain an additional iframe yes. I got the issue by refreshing the page using F5 after the modification, but closing firefox and opening it again with the same local html page reproduces the issue.
I can also confirm that this does not happen in the released web page where firefox displays the iframes properly, only local html file seems to have this issue.

Ok, so not about reopening but reloading.

I cannot reproduce this either on Release 96 or on Nightly 98.
I cannot reproduce this either with fission is enabled or disabled.
According to comment 3 and 4, moving to Session Restore for now.
Dear reporter,
if this is a relatively new issue to you, any chance you can run moz-regression tool to help us know where this issue came from?

Thank you.

Thank you! The steps were indeed reproducible for me.
Interestingly, if I appended a new iframe at the end of the file, for example, Step 3 is as
<iframe src="https://www.wikipedia.org/"></iframe>
<iframe src="https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/"></iframe>
then it's not reproducible.
