Steps to reproduce:

Assuming you have at least one bookmark saved already.

  1. Click Show sidebars, choose bookmarks.
  2. Open a bookmark in a new tab.
  3. Right click on this bookmark and Delete Bookmark.
  4. Crash happens.

Actual results:

Firefox crashes.

Expected results:

Firefox shouldn't crash.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::Bookmarks & History' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

I can confirm this bug. It also happens in Wayland.

I use Ubuntu 21.10 with Wayland session.

This has just been fixed in the latest development builds, fix should be released around 8th Feb if all goes well.
