Details

When i create this document for e-mailing:

---begin---begin---begin---begin---begin----

(Seattle is now on "Daylight Savings Time,"
but, on the last Sunday of October (?),
we change to "Standard Time," so Seattle
will then be 15 hours behind you.)

Here is a factor that we have not discussed...

The best current price that i could find is
for a flight on EVA Airwyas (flights 31 and 39
to Vietnam, and return by flights 392 and 32 back
to Seattle).

It goes like this...

SEA = Seattle; TPE = Taipai; SGN = HoChiMinh
S=Sunday; M=Mon; U=Tue; W=Wed; H=Thu; F=Fri; A=Sat

                   Seattle Time
                  <Taipei  Time>
       Leave      (Vietnam Time)      Arrive
====================================================
 SEA  2002-11-28.H.0255  ->  2002-11-28.H.1545  TPE
     <2002-11-28.H.1855> -> <2002-11-29.F.0745>
     (2002-11-28.H.1755) -> (2002-11-29.F.0645)
                 elapsed time:1250

 TPE  2002-11-28.H.1700  ->  2002-11-28.H.2030  SGN
     <2002-11-29.F.0900> -> <2002-11-29.F.1230>
     (2002-11-29.F.0800) -> (2002-11-29.F.1130)
                 elapsed time:0330
====================================================
 SGN  2002-11-30.A.2145  ->  2002-12-01.S.0105  TPE
     <2002-12-01.S.1345> -> <2002-12-01.S.1705>
     (2002-12-01.S.1245) -> (2002-12-01.S.1605)
                 elapsed time:0320

 TPE  2002-12-01.S.0220  ->  2002-12-01.S.1240  SEA
     <2002-12-01.S.1820> -> <2002-12-02.M.0420>
     (2002-12-01.S.1720) -> (2002-12-02.M.0320)
                 elapsed time:1020
====================================================
(...i hope that's right...i did the figuring.)

So, the question is: Will you be able to get time
off from work and from school to be able to meet me
in HCMC at 1230 Fri 29 Nov/HCMC Time ??

And will it work out alright for you to leave
from HCMC at something like 1500 Sun 1 Dec and
go back to to Quy Nhon ?? Will you get back in
time to be able to meet the appointments that
you have on Monday ??

And, from the looks of the above, it seems that
i would have 49 hours in Vietnam to meet you.

john

----end-----end-----end-----end-----end-----

and then mail it with a Bcc:myself, when i open
what i get back, i get this:

And, that is not to mention all the extra newlines
that are being inserted while doing insertions
into the blue-text (quoted text) of the "Reply"

Thanx for all the work that you've done.

It looks like the viewer doesn't like trailing white spaces.
If I write a mail with the content:
--begin--
test
test
--end--
with a blank after the first test(!), then it will display like this:
--begin..
test test
--end--

I can reproduce this 100% with my Mozilla Mail.

Greetings,
Patrik
The reflow you are seeing is the result of the format=flowed spec. The message
was composed and transmitted as f=f, and Mozilla handles f=f by default to
reflow the message text. You can turn it off: set the preference
  mailnews.display.disable_format_flowed_support
to True.
See bug 168420 for an overview of format=flowed, including a FAQ.
