Steps to reproduce:

Streaming a movie from Amazon Prime Video and have all the time the overlay on screen in fullscreen and not-fullscreen with diffrent states like transferring and read from diffrent url e.g. images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com and other.

Actual results:

Have all the time the overlay on screen in fullscreen and not-fullscreen with diffrent states like transferring and read from diffrent url e.g. images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com and other.
After streaming the state was the same with picture load for the movie overview.

Expected results:

What helped was to move the tab in his own window from context/menu and the insertion/overlay was gone and the "tab"-/"loading" indicator (two balls dancing) was gone.

Component: Untriaged → Security: PSM
Product: Firefox → Core

Reproduce Bug:
Stream a movie from amazon prime video. Open another Tab in the same Window as the stream-tab. Go back to the Stream-Tab itself and there is all the time the overlay/insertion.

Reproduce Solution:
Move the stream-tab to his own (single) window without other tabs (menu -> move tab -> move to new window) and the overlay/insertion is gone.

if I'm reading this correctly, the problem is that we're showing the network status bar even in fullscreen mode?

This may be a general issue with browser UX (that needs Win32 fullscreen fixes), but given that it involves Amazon Prime I'd like to see if the Media team can reproduce.

Yes, that is the problem. Primary should not be displayed in full screen mode. But is it a necessary information even in non-fullscreen mode? If someone wants something like this, I think the developer tools is the right place for this kind of information and only there to see the sources one by one with their state.
As an indicator that something is being loaded, there is still the "load/reload" button that shows this with the load symbol or the X to cancel and the "dancing ball" instead the favicon of the page.
