Details
Attempting to download files from FTP sites is broken in 1.2 Beta. The following error is encountered: c:\temp\[randomfilename].tmp could not be saved because the source file cannot be read

Just to clarify: HTTP downloads work fine, and browsing FTP sites works fine also.

delet the file "compreg.dat" and try again.

This is obviously a dupe along with the large number of other dupes describing the same thing. However, if you don't want it duped that's fine. Please don't CC me.

I should have researched a little more before reporting - definitely a duplicate of 171441. Deleting comreg.dat resolved the issue. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 171441 ***
