Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT 5.0; Monsanto IE 5.5; Mon IE 5; H010818; .NET CLR 1.0.3705)
Build Identifier: 1.01 1.1 & 1.2

I first experienced this a week or two ago when I was greated with a homepage
telling me there was a newer version of Mozilla available and since I was using
it, I should download the new version to help testing. Believe I was using 1.1
at that time.

Symptom: Mozilla will run and restart fine for several days, then lose all its
settings and go back to default. Have seen this happen under 1.01, 1.1, 1.2,
and the nightly build of a week or so ago. Completely uninstalled, went back
to Outlook for e-mail, hated it, and reinstalled the 1.2 build. Worked fine
for, oh, 3 days, then defaulted on me this morning.

Only thought it that it might be related to running Trend Micro's PC-Cillin,
since I noticed it went through a routine pattern update last night. Will
watch for this.

Currently unaware if it only happens with restarts or if it occurs while the
memory resident agent is still hanging around. I'll watch for that too.

Not sure if this is the same as bug 158326 on Solaris.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Configure e-mail and filters
2. Run for a few days...
3.

Actual Results:
Mozilla resets to defaults

Expected Results:
Profiles should be preservered.

Fortunetly, only have 3 filters that need rekeying - but they process hundreds
of messages a day. Glad one can run the filters against one's inbox.
Reporter,

Are you losing any other profile data besides mail settings? Bookmarks? Cookies?

Is your profile located on network drive? (see bug 147822)- possible duplicate?
