User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:97.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/97.0
Steps to reproduce:
downloading a file and selecting the open "open with" no matter whether its a PDF or excel sheet. nothing happens, started with FF97
Actual results:
nothing happens and file gets deleted
Expected results:
application should have openend

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Firefox::File Handling' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

I can't manage to reproduce this issue on my side.
Could you please try to see if issue occurs in safe mode. Here is a link that can help you do that:
