There are several rules in customizeMode.inc.css selecting elements that were removed, i.e. .customization-lwtheme-menu-theme
Maybe these were originally only planned to be removed temporarily or something like that. I will go ahead and delete them just for the sake of cleanliness, but if they serve some future purpose let me know!
