Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.0.3705) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Normally, the navigation buttons on my mouse (A4Tech's Optical WOP-35) act as forward and backward (ie alt+right arrow or alt+left arrow) keys, but they do not work with Mozilla. I changed the function of the keys to right arrow/left arrow and when coupled with me pressing alt on the keyboard, this does work. However, simply functioning as forward/backward keys, the browser does not respond. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open web browser & load homepage 2. Load new page from bookmarks or enter an address 3. Try to use alternate keys on mouse to browse forward or backward Actual Results: Absolutely nothing happens when you do the above. The browser does not respond. I can, as mentioned above, alter the key's functions to just right/left arrow keys and then press alt on the keyboard which does work. Furthermore, I tried changing the middle button function to forward (or backward) and this DOES work. Somehow Mozilla does not respond to the functions forward/backward being assigned to the mouse buttons 4&5. Expected Results: Mozilla should have gone back to the homepage when the back button was pressed. Furthermore, the forward button could then be used to advance to to the page you entered.
