Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:97.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/97.0
Steps to reproduce:
Selected "Print..." from the menu
Actual results:
Firefox print dialog window opened with "Print using the system dialog…" option at bottom.
Expected results:
System dialog box should open. Prior to v97.0, I was able to disable the Firefox print dialog and use the system print dialog as default. This was done by changing the preference "print.tab_modal.enabled" to "false".
See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1322516
This workaround no longer works in v97.0 and is a royal pain, as it requires the user to scroll and select the system dialog box with each and every print job to access certain settings (such as print quality) that are unavailable in the Firefox dialog.
Since the preference option previously worked, but doesn't now, I view this bug type as a "defect".

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Printing: Setup' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.
The preference print.tab_modal.enabled
was removed before the expected replacement using an enterprise policy is ready. You can follow bug 1712104 for progress.
