User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:91.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/91.0
Steps to reproduce:
Note: I don't have full steps to reproduce this issue from a fresh profile and I don't know where to start.
- Have
privacy.resistFingerprintingenabled - Open at least two tabs with URLs on https://forum.fairphone.com/
- Switch between tabs
Actual results:
Initial rendering of forum.fairphone.com tab's favicon is ok (as expected).
After switching to or from a tab on forum.fairphone.com, Favicons are rendered incorrectly, with a pattern similar to the pattern visible under "Canvas" in https://amiunique.org/fp.
Each time I switch from or to a tab of forum.fairphone.com, the favicon changes.
Expected results:
The tab's favicon stays the same. It is not replaced by some weird canvas rendering.
With privacy.resistFingerprinting disabled, everything works as expected. This setting can be changed while running firefox, no restart needed. On the other hand, just setting privacy.resistFingerprinting to true on a fresh profile does not trigger the bug for me. As you probably need some other configuration option that's triggering the bug: Can you please give me some guidance where to start?

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Graphics' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Hi Timothy, this should probably be closed as a duplicate of Bug 1666160 (just like Bug 1752794) , not depends on it
