Steps to reproduce:

In the Enabled Extensions listing here
Tools | Add-ons and Themes ... about:addons

Whenever an update is displayed as available -- after using Check for Updates

Actual results:

Update displays in drop-down below Remove.

Manual selection can all too easily choose Remove, when Update is desired.

Expected results:

Update should display atop the listing -- i.e., atop Remove.

What you are proposing appears to fall into the category of “Enhancement” more, rather than being a defect. As such I will make the necessary changes to this report to reflect this.

I will also attach a screenshot of the current state of the add-on drop-down menu for reference.
