The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Can you right click on the video and choose "stats for nerds" and paste the contents of the "Codecs" line here? Please do this for both Firefox and Chrome?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:99.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/99.0
Hi,
I have tested your issue in Release 97, Beta 98, and the latest Nightly build 99.0a1 (2022-03-07) but could not reproduce it using Windows 10.
If the issue is still reproducible on your end, can you please retest this using the latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) using a new clean Firefox profile (https://goo.gl/AWo6h8) to eliminate the potential causes?
Thanks for the report.

Hi,
Updated firefox to 98 still the issue persists
changed settings to use hardware acceleration when available - 720 60fps videos are playing smooth on youtube, however 1080 60fps are not playing smooth as 720 60fps resloution quality.
firefox start up is also quite slow
no issues found in chrome while playing the above said resloution
Please help, i dont want to switch to chorme due to this reason.
also let me know if there are any other viable options.
Thank You
V

You're graphics hardware is pretty old - NVIDIA GeForce 210, which shipped back in 2009. I'm not surprised you're having performance problems on 1080 video. There's probably not much we can do here, we're just hitting the limit of what we can paint.

One thing you could do to help us diagnose exactly where the problem is is provide a 'Graphics' performance profile -
