Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set up multiple email accounts and test working OK
  2. Create multiple calendars, linked to CalDAV source (Nextcloud). Create test events.
  3. Right click calendar name in side bar -> Properties
  4. Select one of the email accounts from 1) under "Email:"
  5. Check "Prefer client-side email scheduling" box
  6. Click OK to close dialog
  7. Double-click blank space on a future day to create new event.
  8. Add title "Test event example"
  9. Click "Invite Attendees" and type external email address.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Click "Send and close"

Actual results:

Item was added correctly to calendar, both locally in Thunderbird and remotely in Nextcloud CalDAV server.
No invitation email was sent

Expected results:

Invitation email should be sent to invitee.

OS: Unspecified → Linux
Hardware: Unspecified → x86_64

Added new IMAP account for the same email provider, deleted old account, re-selected in calendar settings.
Now sending invitations, either because
a) a new account was set up, OR
b) the POP (incoming) server settings caused a problem with sending invitations (unlikely?)
The POP settings were working prior to TB91.
Should this still be listed as a bug?
Thanks.
