User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:98.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/98.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Launch Firefox

This is on a Debian Bookworm system running wayland via sway 1.6.1.

Firefox 97 started essentially instantly (< 2 seconds).

Using mozregression, was able to identify the revision where this slowdown was introduced.

$ ./.local/bin/mozregression --good 97 --bad 98

Expected results:

Firefox launches instantly
