Really odd bug. Not even sure if this is the right component -- might not be a gtk thing, will test on other platforms when I get a chance.

  1. Open youtube.com.
  2. Type something into the search bar and keep the search box open.
  3. Adjust the system volume. I'm doing this with a volume up/down keys on my keyboard, not sure if there's any other way to trigger this.
  4. Notice that the search box flickers while adjusting volume.

No flicker in Chrome. See attached gif (aside: kind of unfortunate that the ads when searching "Firefox" on youtube aren't Mozilla links).

Oh, interesting. When I try to adjust volume via the GNOME menu bar, the search box closes in Firefox (and then reopens after I unfocus the menu bar slider). Search box stays open the whole time for Chrome.

I think what's most odd in comment #0 is that the focus is only lowered while the volume is being changed and not while the volume display is open.
