Every time I try to access news message ID O1ps9.3286$DP6.13975@news-server.bigpond.net.au, it comes up as a blank grey window wtih a broken QuickTime logo in the middle of it, like Mozilla thinks it requires that plug-in. But the message seems to be perfectly ordinary plain text. I'm using build 2002101808 under Win98. Here's a source dump of the message in question: Path: news2.news.adelphia.net!router2.news.adelphia.net!router1.news.adelphia.net!news-spur1.maxwell.syr.edu!news.maxwell.syr.edu!intgwpad.nntp.telstra.net!news.telstra.net!news-server.bigpond.net.au!not-for-mail From: "rf" <making.it.up@the.time> Newsgroups: comp.infosystems.www.authoring.html References: <fda8b19c.0210191900.3997dff2@posting.google.com> Subject: Re: coming soon to a browser near you Lines: 17 X-Priority: 3 X-MSMail-Priority: Normal X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2600.0000 X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.2600.0000 Message-ID: <O1ps9.3286$DP6.13975@news-server.bigpond.net.au> Date: Sun, 20 Oct 2002 03:03:10 GMT NNTP-Posting-Host: 144.132.179.148 X-Complaints-To: news@bigpond.net.au X-Trace: news-server.bigpond.net.au 1035082990 144.132.179.148 (Sun, 20 Oct 2002 13:03:10 EST) NNTP-Posting-Date: Sun, 20 Oct 2002 13:03:10 EST Organization: BigPond Internet Services (http://www.bigpond.net.au) Xref: router2.news.adelphia.net comp.infosystems.www.authoring.html:31882 "andkonDOTcom" <andraskonya@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:fda8b19c.0210191900.3997dff2@posting.google.com... > Come January 1, 2003, everyone's favorite HTML Tutorial will reopen. <snip glowing remarks about above alleged tutorial.> > Unless you have the usual urge to put me down, there is not much > reason to respond as this is a "feel good" posting. I keep getting this too... and it's quite annoying! Using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021018 I read somewhere that it only happens with messages that come from servers with a .au domain, but I can't recount where at the moment.
