176077 - Error about some temp file not being found after clicking the download link. Download does not start.

I've installed Mozilla 1.2a earlier today (there was no mozilla in the machine)...
When I run it it told me that 1.2beta was available, so I downloaded it and
installed it on top of the 1.2a (upgrade)
The first page I visited had Flash so the Get Plug-in popup sent me to the
macromedia flash player 6 for netscape download page.
When I clicked the download link an error message told me that a temp file
(random name) at "C:\documents and setting\...\..." was not found. Of course,
the download didn't start.
I've tried a couple of pages with download links and the same happened. Now I'm
running 1.2a again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to any page with a download link (I've only tried .exe downloads)
2. Try to download the file

Actual Results:  
An error message appears telling that a temp file was not found.

Expected Results:  
Prompt for a destination folder for the file.

Was the exact message perhaps "C:\documents and setting\...\... could not be
saved, because the source file could not be read. Try again later, or contact
the server administrator."? - if so, dupe of bug 171441. (Fix by deleting
compreg.dat, please resolve as duplicate.)
