User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:98.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/98.0
Steps to reproduce:
- log in to pocket by clicking on browser toolbar icon and using Firefox account
- keep being logged into Firefox account for some time without saving things to pocket
- try to save something to pocket
Actual results:
I had to log in again
Expected results:
I shouldn't have to log in again. My browser is logged in to its Firefox account. Pocket is logged in with my Firefox account. I never logged out of Pocket.
This has happened quite a few times (I guess I only save things about once a month?).
I've never had such an issue like this before, but it seems to be impacted me lately.
I tried to fix it using this Mozilla Support article without any effect...
Could it be related to bug 1680763 ?
After updating to the last stable version (99.0.1), the built-in component for Pocket continues to ask for login even if the user is properly connected yet.
In my case, the issue was solved (thanks to the help of Pocket support) by disabling the use of the "Firefox Multi-Account Containers" extension to open Pocket (by opening the submenu “Firefox Multi-Account Containers” and ing the submenu item “Always open in this container”).
By the way, I did not peculiarly noticed I've used a non-containerized tab to open Pocket previously. 🤔
To complete, I add here two links that could be useful to potentially relate the problem with the extension "Firefox Multi-Account Containers":

The issue isn't that I can't save to pocket at all or login at all. I can log in fine and the button for saving works fine. I don't have pocket assigned to a container.
But after not using pocket for perhaps a month (not sure how long it is), I have to log in again. Seeing as pocket is part of mozilla, and I haven't logged out of my mozilla browser account, I shouldn't have to re-login to pocket. (As well as being an annoyance, it makes pocket seem like less of a mozilla-controlled product.)
