Firefox saves temporary PDF files (command: open PDF file in external PDF viewer) in download directory instead temporary directory

Steps to reproduce:
- click on a link to a PDF file
- select in the opening window: open with PDF XChange Viewer
- click ok
Actual results:
- PDF file opens in the PDF XChange Viewer
- After closing the viewer the PDF file remains in the download directory (since Version 98)
Expected results:
- OK
- The PDF file should not remain in the download directory (as in all versions until 97)

As the initial bug is closed for additional comments because getting the download folder flooded with temp files is apparently considered "useful":
In "Settings / General / Files and Applications", activate "Save files to" and set it to your tmp folder. Than activate "Always ask you where to save files". While a bit counter intuitive, the provided folder is luckily being used despite it being deactivated when opening a file directly in an external application. At least until Mozilla decides to annoy people some more instead of actually making things more useful.
