User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.2b) Gecko/20021022 Phoenix/0.3 Build Identifier: 1.1 Double-clicking on the name of a newsgroup main name brings up a duplicate window. This functionality should be optional. Perhaps a shift or control doubleclick would be more appropriate, or allowing a right-click menu option to open the newsgroup in a new window. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Rack, what do you expect it to do? Collapse/expand? FWIW, this is currently to-spec.
This is the spec'd behavior: Single clicking a newgroup or folder selects the newgroup or folder and displays its contents in the existing window. Double clicking a newsgroup or folder opens a new window, selects the newgroup or folder and displays its contents.
Yes I did expect it to collapse/expand, but since it's current behaviour is as expected, then I'll mark the bug as invalid. =)

Rack - you _could_ always turn this into an RFE (severity -> enhancement), but I don't think anyone would implement this for a while (if ever).
Based on the spec, verified invalid.
