Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to about:config
  2. Set layout.css.backdrop-filter.enabled to true
  3. Restart the browser
  4. Navigate to https://www.playboy.de/
  5. Scroll the page

Actual results:

White artifact appears after scrolling past the backdrop-filter effect

Expected results:

No white artifact

backdrop-filters are not shipping yet, so this is not a WebCompat issue (yet).

This appears to be fixed by the patch in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1766501 (which makes sense). Let's wait for that to land, confirm it's fixed by the reporter and then we can close this as a duplicate.

This is fixed in nightly now. OP, can you confirm and we'll close this bug?

Oh, I guess it's not possible to check right now with it's disabled - but I've confirmed it is fixed. Will close for now, please reopen if you see it again once we re-enable backdrop filter in nightly.
