Steps to reproduce:

Firefox is closed.
Click on a link from any application. (Mac OS 12.3.1)
Firefox opens but the link is opened in a new window instead of the first tab or a new tab. Once Firefox is running, links open in new tabs as set by the Firefox preference.

Actual results:

Firefox opens but the external link is opened in a new window.

Expected results:

The external link should use the first open tab or create a new tab.
