User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:99.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/99.0

Steps to reproduce:

See https://bittersmann.de/test/startrek-series/test-pro

Actual results:

Horizontal rule appears where it shouldn’t.

However, this rule does not appear when the table is wider as on https://bittersmann.de/test/startrek-series/pro
It also doesn’t appear when the table is higher, as on https://bittersmann.de/test/startrek-series/test-tos

Expected results:

No rule should appear.

(And sorry for the lousy description. I would have done better if I had any clue what might trigger this bug.)

I'm not seeing the issue on my computer, it may depend on the platform or device pixel ratio. could you post a screenshot of the issue? The regressing bug is about the rendering of linear gradients, could you confirm that if you replace the linear gradients in your test page with simple background colors the glitch goes away?

The bug has a release status flag that shows some version of Firefox is affected, thus it will be considered confirmed.

There is a gradient rendering fix that landed in bug 1769922, it would be interesting to see if it fixed this one as well.

I’ve attached a screenshot how https://bittersmann.de/test/startrek-series/test-pro renders in Firefox 100 on macOS 12.3.1.

That line appears on some zoom levels (incl. 100% on my system), but does not appear on others.

Does it also appear in a recent Firefox Nightly build?
