I assume this is only a linux conduit? Anyone taken on a windows conduit for
events and tasks?

Why not include support for cellphones like SonyEricsson P800/T610 and Nokia phones?

I would also "kill"
I suggest contacting Extended Systems.com , they do a software called XTND - it
allows synching with Outlook, Lotus Notes ... and not just Sony Ericsson phones,
also Palm ...
Another free, and open source, piece of software that might be usefull for
synching and might be more interesting to spend time on is
http://sourceforge.net/projects/fma

Blocks: cal-synchronization
Any activity on this bug? I mean what's the point of a calendar if you can't
sync to your pda?
Comment 10•21 years ago
|

well there has been very little activity, since the few who have a pda, do not
have the time or knowledge to code for calendar...its VERY helpful to have the
item your coding for.
though it is planned, as a side-note there is a point for those without PDA's ;-)

I have a Palm m100 that I would be willing to donate for a programmer to work on
this bug. Post back if your really serious about addressing this.

Well as far as I know, if you can comit time/skill to coding for this bug, I
would suggest you just do so, and find any relevant bug-reports for your
transfer program/calendar try to keep it as "clean" as possible between the two,
and see how it works, and post your patch.
Keep in mind, some patches like this may take a while to fully review and
check-in though on issues with very little people working on if any, its
sometimes easier to create a patch and post it, and flag review? than to "sit
and wait" on someone else to do it. That is if you are a programmer, if your
not then "sit and wait" is all you can do. Thanks you in advance for your efforts!

shameless plug: http://sync.mozdev.org
I'm hoping to get it into the mozilla tree one day, but for now development
happens on mozdev.

I've posted some things around the Mozilla areas about the Syncing. Well I have
a Tungsten C by palm, right now NOTHING for windows will sync it.......... But
:-), I wrote a class to parse the ICS file. Right now It seems to load an ICS
file fine, and into the right areas. In other words, the Date, goes into the
date memory variable, description goes into description variable etc. This is
all wrote in VB6 though, C code for a palm conduit is a NIGHTMARE!! So I will
continue working on this at my leasuire, and post updates here also.

Palm OS hasn't had a release in 13 years. I think we can safely say this bug is never going to be fixed.
