Download a file to the Desktop.

Do you use the Firefox package provided to you by Ubuntu? If so then you should report this to Ubuntu.

Ubuntu 22.04 only has Snap version of Firefox.

Blocks: snap

Widget:GTK is not perfect for this but it's better than untriaged. But yeah: this is a Snap/Ubuntu bug, not a Firefox issue, I suspect.

Component: Untriaged → Widget: Gtk
Product: Firefox → Core

Adriaan, on a recent Ubuntu I can safely save to desktop, can you verify on your side ?

Yeah it seems to be working now.

Thanks!
