Details

Using 19991101 build on Win98 and linux you will crash clicking New Msg for an
IMAP account if you have remember password=false. Remember password=false, and
you open your inbox, give your password then click New Msg you will crash. With
remember password=true, you can click and send New Msgs all day long without
crash.

1. Launch Messenger (selecting an account with an IMAP server
2. Select the IMAP account (make sure remember password=false)
3. Selelct the Inbox, give your password.
4. Select New Msg
Crash
Priority: P3 → P1
QA Contact: lchiang → esther
Changing priority to P1, regression and should be fixed even though not a
blocker
We really should try to fix this by tomorrow's build.
On the Mac commercial seamonkey build 1999-11-01-08-m11, it crashes but on the
2nd new message you try to start.

Esther actually meant GetMsg not NewMsg.

Peter, if you are crashing the 2nd time you hit NewMsg, I think we need
a new bug for that.

Marking this bug as fixed. Valeski backed out beard's change in xpcom that
broke imap and ftp this morning.
adding pmock to cc: list to read mscott's comments :-)
Logged separate mac bug 17701
Status: RESOLVED → REOPENED
I talked to mscott, I was talking about New Msg so this bug is now a duplicate
of Peter's bug 17701, which is a duplicate of mscott's bug 17689. I will mark
this as a duplicate and verify.
